Levan Kharatishvili joins the Jury of IGCAT’s World Food Gift Challenge 2026

Founding Dean of the School of Arts and Cultural Heritage, New Vision University, Georgia, IGCAT Expert from Georgia, Levan Kharatishvili joins the jury of IGCAT’s World Food Gift Challenge 2026.

Levan Kharatishvili is a cultural policy expert with extensive experience across culture, cultural heritage, education and creative industries. From 2013 to 2021, he served as Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia, where he led work on cultural policy, heritage, and international relations. He is closely associated with the development of Georgia’s first national culture strategy, Culture Strategy 2025, and is co-author of the country’s first cultural policy document.

He also established Creative Georgia, supporting the development of cultural and creative industries, and has contributed to international programmes such as UNESCO’s Culture for Development Indicators (CDIS) and initiatives of the Council of Europe, where he chaired the Steering Committee for Culture, Heritage and Landscape (CDCPP).

With extensive experience in cultural policy and strategy, Levan brings a systemic perspective on how food gifts can embody cultural heritage, support creative industries, and contribute to sustainable regional development.
